NATE THOMAS - mornings

Nate Thomas is originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, but his career in radio has taken him all over the country. He worked at Kiss 95.7 in Hartford, CT for four years as the night-time on-air personality. He spent a little over a year in California at KDUV-FM, a well-respected Christian Radio station before working with WAY-FM in Nashville, TN.

You can now hear Nate Monday through Friday mornings on The Q 99.7 from 7:00 - 9:00. He'll keep you in the loop on what's happening in the community and around the world with news updates twice an hour. Chances are you'll also hear him talking about his wife and two girls!!!

LESLIE PRIETO - 1-3 pm

My name is Leslie Prieto.

Me: I'm half Guatamalan and a fourth generation Mexican..Either way, I love beans.

Mi Familia: My entire immediate family lives deep in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. That's where I was born and raised. I have 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters. I'm the aunt of 8 nieces and nephews.

Work Historia: I've worked at Starbucks Coffee 5 years and now I make drinks at The Underground Cafe, not because I have to but because I want to. Big difference! :-) I started off volunteering at WAY-FM in Nashville and that's where I met Nate Thomas and Jayar. From there, I moved to my first part-time radio gig in Florida and now here! It's been a huge honor to learn from both Nate and Jayar, so that's what I'll continue to do. My job here at The Q 99.7 FM is the first full-time radio gig I've ever had! It's a dream I never thought would come true while scrubbing toilets, but God has proven to be 100% faithful.

Theresa Ross is the newest member of The Q 99.7 Team!

1. How about your family?
I'm a single mom with two beautiful kids Johanna's 12 and Jordan's 11 (btw, that's one girl and one boy!) They're growing up way too fast and both will be in middle school this fall WOA!

2. Any pets?
Jack Russell Terrier named JOJO, Min Pin named BAXTER and a Siamese mix named HERSHEY (big chocolate fans!)

3. Favorite foods?
chocolate!! (isn't that a food group?), chips and salsa (fresh salsa with cilantro), mexican food YUM, cookout food...anything my fiancee cooks...i love to eat... AND THEN THERE'S THE GYM (lol)

4. Favorite bible verse?
I have two... Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

JAYAR - 5-7 pm

Jayar's Family:
Married his wonderful wife in June of 2002
They have 2 girls and a boy ranging from 7 years old to an infant!

Things that Jayar is passionate about: Seattle Mariners/Seahawks. Tennessee Vols. Newcastle United (English Football/Soccer), Coffee, Saltwater Aquariums, Pirate History, Revolutionary War history, and snow.

Quirky things about Jayar: GERM FREAK. Can’t drink coffee from a dark colored mug. Obsessively organized.

Timeline of travels since graduating High School in Port Orchard, WA in 1995:

3 weeks in China. 2 years in Dublin, Ireland. 2 months in Vienna, Austria.
Back to Seattle. Started in radio in 1999.
KBKS, KPLZ were Seattle stations.
Moved to Phoenix, then to Seattle, then to Montana, then to Seattle.
Married. Day after honeymoon moved to Portland.
2 months later to California.
Moved to Boise, Idaho for a year and change.
Moved to Nashville, TN for 3 years.
Moved to Florida in February 2008.
Now glad to be on the air in Western Mass!

JOSH ASHTON - weekend 22

The Weekend 22 is hosted by Josh Ashton.

I'm your average young guy but with a cool job! Born and raised from a broken home in Tampa Bay area in Florida, I'm backed by a commitment to my family to not do what i was raised to do. My passions are simple; God, my family, Tampa bay Bucs football, TB Ray baseball, watching Spongebob Squarepants with my 2.5 year old little girl, fishing the local rivers and lakes in my spare times, hunting (although I would starve if I had to survive on those skills) and ROAD TRIPS!! I love ‘em!!

ODD THINGS: I always have a saltwater fish tank, I can't stand certain smells. I love to smell good and have an extensive cologne collection, but a sink full of dishes makes me nautious!! I like my coffee strong enough to walk on it's own... Next time your at a s'bucks order the radio DJ; venti-4 shot-4 pump vanilla-4 pump mocha-nonfat-no whip-extra hot!! ...it's an adult hot chocolate with a bite and hits the spot!!

WHEN I'M NOT ON THE RADIO: you can find me at church, a live music event, in the water, in the gym, or manning the helm of a grill!! (even when it's 20 degrees out, I'll grill) ...I have some deep southern roots that run strong for BBQ, so I'm constantly trying new recipes.

I'm just your friend! I'm the average guy thats just worked hard to do what I do. (janitorial services were part of my radio plight!) I never turn down an opportunity for a fun time. My past is checked but washed clean through Jesus's redeeming grace... That's the only way I stand before you now...humble. If you ever have questions, feel free to hit me up! Because, I'm just a beggar trying to show another beggar how to get fed!!
